Guidelines for Chairing a Session at ICARCV 2006
1. Please check the time and room assignment of your sessions.
2. Plan to arrive at the meeting room 10 minutes before the starting time of your session to meet the speakers and the student helper in your session.
3. Please start and end your session on time. It is critical that you keep your presenters on time.
4. Each paper is allocated 20 minutes for presentation (usually consists of 17 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion). Please announce at the beginning of the session that each paper should be finished in time to allow for adequate discussion. If the presenter has not finished on schedule, please end the presentation so that the paper may be discussed.
5. Please adhere strictly to the time schedule in the Conference Guide as attendees rely on its accuracy to get to talks on time. If a presentation finishes early, please encourage discussion and do not start the next paper early.
6. If a speaker fails to appear, do not pass to the next paper. Instead, call for a break until the scheduled time for the following presentation. Please record papers that are not presented in the session report and return it to the student helper.
Thank you!
