Procedures in Organising an invited session for ICARCV2008

We suggest the following steps in order to organize an invited session
  1. Identify a special topic (in the field of your expertise) that is within the topics of interest for ICARCV2008, and give a title to your intended invited session. Send to :
Invited Session Chairman Li, Zhengguo via ezgli@ntu.edu.sg or Co-Chairmen Meng, Max Q.-H. via max@ee.cuhk.edu.hk and Cao, Tien Huynh via lena_capit@yahoo.com with your name, title and affiliation.
  2. The committee will decide and reply to you on whether you should proceed with the invited session or not.
  3. Upon approval, you may begin to write to researchers who you think will be able to submit high quality papers consistent with your special area of the Invited Session.
  4. An invited session should ideally have about 5 to 6 papers. Even if you could only get less than this, proceed on as we could help to find a couple more to fit into your invited session.
  5. To make it "international", do aim to invite paper contributions from researchers all over the world. Some guidelines to aim for are :
    • an invited session should not have more than two papers from the same organisation or university.
    • papers from at least two different countries would be ideal.
  6. Invited Session organisers may be requested to organise the paper review process.
  7. All invited session papers must be registered and at least one author/co-author of each paper must present it at the conference.
